Sands of Time

This image”Sands of Time” has been copied by many people over the last 15 years but I shot this image long before Upper and Lower Antelope Canyon’s became a “destination” with parking lots.  I captured this image when there was a serious wind blowing on the surface above the slot I was shooting.  The wind caused the sand to fall down into the canyon which then accumulated on small ledges within the walls.  A slow shutter speed and beautiful light contributed to the luck of wind to make this shot work.
