This image (Rainbow Pool) was taken in southern Utah.  Both southern Utah and northern Arizona have some of the most “other worldly” landscapes in the United States. Millions of years of erosion can produce landscapes like this which are truly unique and beautiful.  The green pool caused by algae adds just the right amount of color contrast to the cream and orange sandstone.
