I’ve always been attracted to the ocean and beaches in the winter.  The beach is typically much less crowded at this time of year and also more natural looking without the chairs, umbrellas, etc that dot the bitch in other seasons.  I typically go out very early trying to catch the hour before sunrise to right after sunrise.  This is when the sky has the most color.
