I decided to take a trip to Iceland to photograph the Northern Lights. Without doing my proper research I assumed winter would be a good time as it would be dark there for 18 hours a day, which I thought would give me plenty of opportunity to shoot. Well, in January it rains or snows 90% of the time so a clear sky is not common. On the five day trip I had one 4 hour period of clear sky. This is one of the shots I took of an old castle next to this frozen stream with the mountains as a back drop.
