Smoky Mountain NP in the fall is a terrific time of the year to photograph the many elk in the national park.  At that time of year the leaves are changing and the Golden Rod is at its peak.  With a little luck you may catch an elk bugling amongst these flowers.  The sound of the bugle is something you won’t forget.  I hope this image brings out the sensation of being there.
