Southern Utah is full of amazing national parks.  Zion, Capitol Reef, Arches,  Canyonlands and Bryce Canyon are all time well spent.  Bryce is a great park due to its relatively smaller size.  You can visit Bryce by car in a day or two.  However, the best times to photograph the park is around sunrise and sunset.  The park shines at those times of day.
